Farlo's Favorites

Here is a list of mods not in STEP that I personally recommend for STEP users. For the most part they shouldn't conflict with any mods in STEP. Unless otherwise noted, the priority shouldn't matter, so either put them alongside their type or just stick them at the end.

Textures/Graphics

Bethesda Hi-Res DLC Optimized - Reduces a lot of stuttering and can free up video memory. I use the Hybrid + Vanilla normal maps version.
- Mod Priority: Lowest

Lush Grass - Keepin' the polygon count down for the consoles.

Lush Trees - Same author as Lush Grass, very much compatible.
- Mod Priority: After Vurt's Flora Overhaul.

Enhanced Dynamic Weather System - Adds new weather types to various places.
- ESP Priority: 12

Note: The only ESP you need is enhanceddynamicweathersystemnormal.esp

More Rain - Adds some realism. I use the 33% Less View version.
- ESP Priority: 38

More Snow - I use the 75% Less View version.
- ESP Priority: 39

Interior and Dungeon Fog Remover - My preference; makes the environments a lot more crisp.

Better Dynamic Snow - At least it's better than Vanilla.
- ESP Priority: 49

HD Imperial Tower - Who doesn't love more HD?

High Definition Hay - Never noticed just how ugly the default hay was. I suggest the Dirtier Hay version.

Spider Webs HighRes Retexture - Looks better than Intricate Spider Webs IMO.
- Mod Priority: After Intricate Spider Webs. Use both since ISW covers some textures this does not.

Realistic Instruments - For the obsessive.

Hvergelmir's Shield Retexture - Compliments the armor mod already in STEP.

Better Decapitation Gore - Gore!

Content

Detailed Cities - A WiP, but so far Whiterun and Solitude are done and it looks really good.
- ESP Priority: 61

Riverwood Enhanced - Along the same lines.
- Mod Priority: After Detailed Cities
- ESP Priority: 47

Note: Use the Detailed Cities Compatible file.

Masters of Death - If nothing else the revamp for the Dark Brotherhood's Shrouded Armor is worth it.
- ESP Priority: 41

Note: Disable Deadly Serious Shrouded Armor.

Auto Unequip Arrows - Because why not?
- ESP Priority: 36

Killmove Plus - Moar gore!
- ESP Priority: 65

Birds and Flocks - Helps the world feel more alive.
- ESP Priority: 20

Fixes

Mage Robes Comments Fix - Bugfixes!
